She is the pride of Stamps, Arkansas. The heavenly voice of the struggle. A pillar of courage for generations. And her name still inspires us to reach for the stars: Maya Angelou!

A civil rights activist, memoirist, and a poet who changed the world one word at a time, one action at a time, one step at a time — the name alone has a hallowed place in the world. Maya’s was a celebration of hope, of possibility, and of realizing inner greatness. There has never been a better example of someone getting the most out of all three.
