BLACK LIVES MATTER

These Icons, these Black Icons, who we have the honor of representing, and the great responsibility to be a small part in helping to keep their legacies alive and thriving for future generations, were all unique people who lived their very different, own lives that spanned many different eras. However, they all shared one common vision and each had the courage to stand tall and be heard in times of intense racism and discrimination. They all fought for change, for equality and basic human rights. They crossed color barriers and broke down walls through constant struggle, systemic oppression and injustice.

They are all larger than life figures but, they are also all individual humans who refused to accept the intolerable conditions being forced upon them, and whose efforts and courage helped change and improve the world during their time and beyond.

We have not come far enough.

These real-life superheroes did their part but, the work is not done. Their tireless efforts now need to be continued and carried forward by the masses instead of the few and their messages and efforts amplified by a new generation of thoughtful, compassionate and powerful young voices who will have to summon that same courage to pick up and carry the torch that is being passed. There is much to be done and it will take a concerted effort from all.

We are a small independent company but know that we must lead by example. Our Icons/Partners have entrusted us with their legacies and to do them justice, we have to be the change we want to see.

From June 1st forward, Roots Of Fight is committed to being a greater part of the change that is needed. We will be directing funds to NAACP, Black Lives Matter and other initiatives fighting racism and injustice. We will donate a portion of all proceeds moving forward, with a minimum commitment of $50,000 for the remainder of 2020. We will continue to focus our energy on shining a light on the lives and messages of the Ground Breakers, Difference Makers and Freedom Fighters we have the distinct honor of working for.
