“The Army teaches boys to think like men.”

The year was 1958. Elvis had already opened the floodgates to Rock & Roll one hip thrust at a time, and now it was time to serve his country. Just a few years after his smash hit single “Heartbreak Hotel” shook up the world, Elvis went into the Army. He served as a member of two separate armed battalions, first at Fort Hood, and immediately after in Germany, with the 1st Medium Tank Battalion, 32d Armor. With his global fame, people wondered if the King of Rock & Roll would receive special handling in the military. It turned out he didn’t want any of that.

“The Army can do anything it wants with me,” he said.

Long live the King! Throwing back to Elvis’s time served in the military with this comfy grey sweatshirt!
