“To be a champ you have to believe in yourself when no one else will.”

“Sugar” Ray Robinson was 42-1 as a professional boxer when he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943. Yet he didn’t bat any eye to serve, even though he was right in the middle of his historic rivalry with Jake LaMotta. He accepted his service, and he made the most of it. Throughout his stint as a sergeant in the Army, Ray held exhibitions with the great Joe Louis to bolster morale of troops during World War II, and two years after serving became the welterweight champion.

We throw back to Sugar Ray’s Army days with this new Army green colorway!
